Nativity Scenes
In celebration of the festive season, this annual exhibition featured hand-made figurines from around the world. The large, hand-made nativity dioramas replicate different regions in Italy, capturing landscape, vernacular architecture and daily activities of village life.

Italia 1946-2006
From the Reconstruction to the New Millennium: Dedicated by the Presidency of the Regional Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia to the sixty years passed as a Republic and a democracy, this exhibit comprised 140 original photographs and vintage prints from the first expressions of newly regained liberty and the desire of the Italians to reconstruct a normal life after the destruction of the Second World War.

Mariantonietta Sulcanese
This artist stands at the forefront of contemporary painting in Italy. Her abstract canvases glow with exquisite rhythm and space. For this exhibit the artist continued her exploration of history, origins, movement through space and time, and restrained emotional expressions. Critics agree, the result is breathtaking.

2 X 2, Colour and Form Society
In honour of the 55th CFS's Anniversary in 2007. CFS is celebrating its formation, after WWII, by immigrating artists who arrived from Europe to bring new perspectives to art. Their innovative thinking was quickly embraced by Canadian artists, leading to the inauguration of CFS in 1952.

Creating Vision by Art Beat
Presented by York Community Service
The exhibit was put on by Art Beat, an innovative program that provides weekly classes in order to promote artistic learning and self-expression in adults with developmental or mental health disabilities. Participants in this unique program have developed greater self confidence and enhanced their communication skills, while learning to work with various media and techniques including painting, mosaic tile, collage, pastels and papier-mâché.
