Sotto-Voce Phase Has Begun
For more than 30 years, Villa Charities has provided culturally-sensitive care and services in the GTA and York Region. Villa Charities Foundation has recently begun the sotto-voce, or the quiet-phase, of a five-year capital fundraising campaign to address the growing and urgent needs of the community.
The campaign will raise capital funds to:
- upgrade and refurbish Villa Charities' existing facilities and;
- fund the construction of Villa Colombo Vaughan Di Poce Centre, our new long-term
care facility that opened in October 2006.
In the sotto-voce phase, members of the Foundation's Board are meeting with leaders in the business community to inspire support for Villa Charities. This campaign will provide a strong base as Villa Charities prepares for the next 30 years of service to the community.

Chair of Leadership and Major Gifts
In December 2004, Mr. Alfredo DeGasperis was named Chair of Leadership and Major Gifts (gifts of $100,000+) of the Villa Charities Foundation capital fundraising campaign. Mr. DeGasperis is confident the campaign will be a great success. "Today, Italian Canadians hold prominent positions in every sector and industry," he notes. "I have no doubt that a capital campaign to continue our tradition of caring is achievable."
