Culture and Community at the Columbus Centre
The Columbus Centre, the hub of the Villa Charities campus is the GTA’s pre-eminent centre for the arts and culture serving the Italian Canadian community and beyond.
Frequented by more than 100,000 visitors every year, the Centre is a popular meeting place where people can enjoy the richness of the Italian culture in a Canadian setting; a veritable piazza that brings together art, culture, fitness and great culinary experiences all under one roof.
The Columbus Centre will be undergoing a major redevelopment beginning in late 2017, making way for a new, state-of-the-art cultural facility. Along with this will come vibrant and engaging cultural programming which will revitalize the Centre as the central piazza not only for the Italian Canadian community but for all those wishing to explore Italian culture and heritage through a broad range of events, programs and services.
Please visit our calendar of events for featured cultural programming at the Centre and visit the Joseph D. Carrier Gallery page for a list of current and upcoming installations.
