Child Care Toronto

Child Care

For more than 30 years, Villa Charities has been providing the highest quality of child care to those within our community between the ages of 3 months and 12 years. During this time, we have built strong relationships that are founded on trust, allowing us to provide services to families for generations. Our experienced, professionally trained and licensed staff are committed to the well-being, safety and happiness of your child as they grow and mature in all aspects of life.

Our Children’s Centres adhere to the Ministry of Education’s set curriculum for child care centres. We have also implemented specific enrichment programs where special classes such as art, science, language, and yoga are offered to ensure your child enjoys a broad and unique experience.

In addition to our trained and certified staff, we have licensed special needs resource teachers available to assist in specialized areas for children with special needs or disabilities. At Villa Charities, we are proud to offer services that are diverse, engaging and reflect the values on which we were founded.

NEW! Reggio Emilia Program

This program is based on the principals of respect, responsibility and community. The Reggio approach is known as the “Hundred Languages,” meaning a hundred different ways of thinking, discovering and learning through the use symbolic languages (art, sculpting, drama) in everyday life.

  • Children have some control over the direction of their learning
  • Children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, and observing
  • Children must have the endless ways of opportunities to express themselves
  • Through the Reggio approach the teacher is considered the co-learner with the child
  • Children will work on projects as the teacher expands the child’s learning
  • The environment is a fundamental importance and considered the ‘third teacher’
  • Natural light and indoor plants play a role in the environment
  • Kitchens are open to the rooms and inviting to the children
  • Children are involved in the planting, caring and harvesting of vegetables
  • Children are a part of the cooking experiences
  • The community and families are large part of the program. Parents and community members are involved in the activities, discussions and workshops

For over 20 years, Villa Charities’ summer camps have been offering something for every camper. With tennis, karate, art, cooking, dance, extreme sport, and Triple Threat (voice, dance, and drama) camps, among others, there is little, if anything, that we cannot provide for your child.

Our nine-week summer camps are engaging, active, and focused on giving your child a summer retreat where they can interact with others in a fun and exciting environment. Our full-day or half-day options make our camps very customizable and easily adaptable to your scheduling needs.

With 22 counsellors, six instructors for indoor camps, and over 40 volunteers from community members, Villa Charities summer camps are adequately staffed to ensure your child is safe, properly looked after, and is given adequate one-on-one time to enhance whatever skill they have come to explore.
