Maria Di Salvo Compassionate Care Award<< Back to Vaughan
 To commemorate the admission of the first resident, Extendicare (the professional management company Villa Charities has hired to administer Villa Colombo Vaughan Di Poce Centre) has announced the creation of the Maria Di Salvo Compassionate Care Award. The award, named in honour of the first resident at Villa Colombo Vaughan Di Poce Centre, will be given to recognize staff, physicians, service providers or managers who consistently demonstrate compassionate care and superior customer service.
Two awards of $500 each will be available each fiscal year. Winners will also be given a plaque of recognition and the recipient's name will be displayed on a plaque located in the long-term care facility.
Any resident, staff, family, physician, volunteer or manager may complete a nomination form. Nominations will be accepted throughout the year and must be received in writing. Nomination forms can be picked up at Villa Colombo Vaughan Di Poce Centre (10443 Hwy 27) or you can download the form using the link below.
