ABOUT THE VCLA
Villa Colombo Services for Seniors opened its doors in 1976. The realization of Villa Colombo Homes for the Aged, involved one of the largest cooperative community efforts in the history of Canadians of Italian origin.
In that year, the Villa Colombo Ladies' Auxiliary was founded with a purpose of benevolent volunteerism in support of the home and its valued residence. The VCLA is comprised of committed individuals who dedicate their time and efforts towards creating special fundraising events, promote community awareness for the Villa, and assist in promoting the rich Italian heritage as part of Canada's multi-cultural mandate.
For over 30 years the Ladies' Auxiliary has raised millions of dollars for the Villa. As a service focused charity, the VCLA membership is honoured and privileged to give back to its community.
How can you support the Ladies' Auxiliary? Volunteer at our special events, in the Gift Shop or lend your talents by knitting, sewing, baking, or personal contact with our seniors.
We welcome you to attend one of our General Meetings or social events and mingle with our members. Our organization attracts members of various ages and backgrounds. The VCLA annual membership is $25.00. We invite you to join us.
