Residents Celebrate International Women’s Day
On March 7, the residents at Casa Del Zotto gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day. Organized by Centro Anziani, our residents were treated to a delicious lunch, shared stories of inspirational women in their lives and enjoyed a sing-along performance of traditional Italian music.
Independent Seniors’ Apartments Host Valentine’s Day Festivities
On February 14, our Independent Seniors’ Apartments hosted special Valentine’s Day themed events for the residents. Our residents at both Casa Abruzzo and Casa Del Zotto were treated to a delicious meal and enjoyed listening to Italian-themed music.
Villa Charities’ Apartment Residents Attend Outing to Casino Rama
On February 5, the residents at our Independent Seniors’ Apartments enjoyed a day trip to Casino Rama in Orillia. Due to popular demand, there will be monthly outings to Casino Rama for our residents with the next outing taking place on March 5. Residents Attend La Festa della Befana at Casa Del Zotto
On January 10, the residents at Casa Del Zotto gathered in the Common Room to celebrate “La Festa della Befana”. Organized by Centro Anziani, the afternoon began with a delicious lunch, accompanied by traditional Italian music. The Befana made her grand entrance and greeted each resident individually, handing out candy and treats along the way. The residents enjoyed the rest of the afternoon, laughing and dancing with the Befana.
Our Independent Senior Apartments’ Celebrate the Holidays with Annual Christmas Party
During the week of December 10, the residents at Caboto Terrace, Casa Del Zotto and Casa Abruzzo gathered with members of the Villa Charities staff to enjoy refreshments and baked goods in celebration of the holidays.
Residents at Casa Abruzzo Commemorate Remembrance Day
On November 11, residents at Casa Abruzzo gathered for a communal meal and reflected on WWII during their Remembrance Day ceremony through song and prayer. One of our residents, Max Dankner, has played an integral part in organizing this ceremony by sharing his stories of military service and sacrifices made by so many during WWII.
