Long Term Care

COVID-19 UPDATE
.
As residents of long term care are one of the most vulnerable populations at greatest risk of COVID-19, we have implemented the Ministry of Health recommendations to suspend all non-essential visitation.  These are extreme circumstances right now, and we are working hard to ensure all residents receive the care they require, as well as stimulation and activities, and contact with families via phone, video and window visits.

Join our Virtual Tribute Wall

The staff at our affiliate Long-Term Care Homes – Villa Colombo Toronto and Villa Colombo Vaughan, are going above and beyond the call of duty to care for and protect the most vulnerable citizens in our community, our seniors. To shine a light on the extraordinary efforts and unwavering commitment of these front line health care workers and support staff battling the COVID-19 pandemic, Villa Charities has launched a virtual tribute wall that will display the messages of gratitude we have received from family members and others in the community. If you’d like to send a message of support for either long-term care home to be included on our virtual wall, please email info@villacharities.com or post a message on our FacebookTwitter or  Instagram page.

A Message of Thanks for our Long-Term Care Workers

Villa Charities would like to shine a light on the extraordinary efforts of front line health care workers and support staff battling the global COVID-19 pandemic. The staff at our affiliate Long-Term Care Homes – Villa Colombo Toronto and Villa Colombo Vaughan, are going above and beyond the call of duty to care for and protect the most vulnerable citizens in our community, our seniors. The demand for services and the strains being placed on the capacity of our overall health care system require extraordinary efforts and a single-minded commitment by all of those involved, often at the expense of personal sacrifices involving families and loved ones.

Providing our community’s seniors with long-term care that is culturally sensitive and of the highest quality is at the heart of our operation at Villa Charities. In 1971, we were founded on the principles of giving back to those who laid the foundation for a vibrant Italian-Canadian culture in the region. Today those principles live on, and we now have two beautiful long-term care facilities that are situated on expansive grounds to give our seniors unparalleled living spaces in both Toronto and Vaughan. We are proud to provide a vast array of engaging programs designed to meet the complex needs of our seniors, engage highly trained and professional staff, and offer specific accommodations based on individual needs so that everyone in our care is living comfortably, peacefully, and safely.

Both the Toronto and Vaughan long-term care homes provide 24-hour nursing and visiting health services such as dentistry, audiology, x-ray, physiotherapy, and more. Our highly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the enjoyment and safety of the residents and clients in its care.

Villa Charities Long-Term Care Homes are dedicated to providing exceptional care to its residents in a culturally sensitive environment that honours the Italian heritage.

Villa Charities Long-Term Care Facilities are our community’s premier long-term care options.

Villa Colombo Vaughan

Our beautiful 16-acre northern campus in quiet Kleinburg, Ontario, is home to 160 of our community’s seniors. The living accommodations are comprised of six separate casas scattered over the expansive property, each housing up to 30 residents who share a living room, dining room, and bathing spa, to create a social and welcoming atmosphere. Our residents’ private rooms for retreating and visiting are also well-equipped and are of the highest-quality and comfort.

Upgrades, such as heated floors, plasma TVs in residents’ rooms, our Piazza De Gasperis, or “town square,” a new reflective pool, bocce court, and chapel, make Villa Colombo Vaughan more than just a facility. It’s a home to 160 residents.
