TLN Media Group celebrates arrival to Columbus Centre and hosts intimate fundraising dinner with celebrity chefs, Lidia Bastianich & David Rocco

January 14, 2019 – TLN Media Group’s (TMG) journey began 35 years ago at Villa Charities Inc.‘s Columbus Centre in Toronto, when in November 1984, Villa Charities hosted a celebration of a new Canadian multicultural TV channel, ‘TLN Telelatino’.  Now coming full circle, in January 2020, TLN Media Group’s new multichannel headquarters and studios have officially relocated to the very same Columbus Centre, on the Villa Charities campus. In honour of the new location, TLN Media Group is proud to host a VIP ceremony followed by A Felidia Experience at the Columbus Centre, an intimate reception and dinner with beloved celebrity chef, author and entrepreneur, Lidia Bastianich and Canada’s globetrotting cultural explorer and TLN TV personality David Rocco. The night will be inspired by Lidia’s original flagship restaurant and new book “Felidia”. Additionally, a new season of “Lidia’s Kitchen” premieres on TLN TV starting on February 3 from Monday – Friday at 6pm and Sundays with back-to-back episodes from 6:00 – 6:30pm.

Proceeds from the event will go to support Villa Charities and the Villa Charities Foundation in its mission to celebrate and promote Italian heritage, culture and provide support for senior care.

Part of the Villa Charities campus, Columbus Centre has been a cultural hub of the city for almost 40 years and has a rich and vibrant history as the focal point, centerpiece and showcase of Italian Canadian culture and community leadership. As Canada’s leading multicultural media company, TMG’s move to the Columbus Centre represents its ongoing connection with the communities it serves and a renewed commitment to multicultural influence and expression. This is a historical event as two community-building organizations join forces to lead a multicultural and public service renaissance.
