42nd Annual Villa Charities Golf Classic

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 42nd Annual Villa Charities Golf Classic on September 26, 2018 at Eagles Nest Golf Club and for helping to make it a great success!

Our golfers took a journey through different regions of Italy as they were treated with delicious Italian-style food stops throughout the day. A fantastic day on the course was followed by a cocktail reception with antipasto, risotto, speducci and more. The event concluded with the helicopter ball drop over the green, awarding the Grand Prize of the Trophy Club 4-Some for the 2019 RBC Canadian Open, to be held at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club. Congratulations also to the winning foursome, M.A.M. Group, who shot a 60, 12 under par!

We would like to express our thanks to our Presenting Sponsor Lady York Foods and all our valued sponsors, donors, volunteers and partners who provided their support and contributed to the success of this event. A special thank you to former Toronto Maple Leafs captain Rick Vaive for participating in our “Beat The Pro” contest.

Funds raised through our Villa Charities Golf Classic will support Villa Colombo Toronto to help provide the highest quality of long-term care. Keep an eye out for the photo gallery to see highlights from the day.

We hope to see you all next year!

12th Annual Villa Charities GIRO

The 12th Annual Villa Charities Giro cycling fundraiser on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Veneto Centre was a premier event for the cycling community. This year’s event, presented by Lady York Foods, tested the endurance of 130 riders on the 100km Gran Fondo and 60km Media Fondo routes, along with the new family friendly 25km Corto Fondo route. The 2018 Giro took riders through the scenic regions of Vaughan, Kleinburg and King City, where cyclists enjoyed Italian-themed rest stops with gourmet food and beverage along the way, including Villa Vaughan. The 2018 cycling fundraiser raised approximately $120,000 in support of Villa Colombo Toronto and Villa Colombo Vaughan, to purchase new specialized high-quality beds for residents.
