“Photos from TEAM VILLA’s experiences at the San Francisco 2012 (red and white uniforms), Maranello 2011 (Yellow uniforms), and Venice 2010 (Red jackets) Marathons. It all started at the Columbus Centre.” – Bill and John Arvanitis, ARVAN Rehab Group Inc.

“I have many fond memories of the Columbus Centre. As a teenager, I attended the cultural celebrations and dances. Later, as a mother, I accompanied my children every Saturday morning to Italian classes, and art classes. As a teacher, I took my students on French and Italian field trips. We toured the Art Gallery, attended special lectures such as the Great Domes of Italy, watched the plays, had guided tours of the centre and lunch at Ristorante Bocaccio. The best was always the Presepi exhibit every Christmas. I even organized our Brampton staff’s Christmas Party in the Rotonda. Recently, I have enjoyed Cultural Tuesdays. Congratulations on your 40th anniversary. A wonderful cultural centre which has offered so much to the Italian community over the years.” – Mary Ferlisi Cicci

“Coro San Marco was proud to award a music scholarship to students who will pursue their career in music at a Canadian University during Italian Heritage Month in June 2019. We were grateful for the opportunity to perform and present the music scholarships to the students right in the very beautiful and acoustic Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery in the Columbus Centre.” – Daniele Colla, Director of the Coro San Marco Choir

“Columbus Centre has been a huge part of my life since the beginning of time.  I started working out at the Columbus Centre in the early 80s and have always felt a part of the Villa Charities family.  I had my 40th birthday party, inviting 100 family and friends to celebrate in the Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery with the fantastic food catered by Boccaccio Restaurant!

I joined the Columbus Concert Band that rehearsed on the 3rd floor in January 2011 under the direction of Livio Leonardelli (with grateful thanks to Anthony Fusco Jr.)

Columbus Concert Band loved playing Christmas shows for gym members and other lobby visitors years ago and more recently, we played a show in the Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery under the baton of Annamaria Mazzaferro.  We had a wonderful audience and look forward to playing there again!

Celebrate 40 wonderful years of Columbus Centre and may I be around to celebrate another wonderful birthday party in your gorgeous facilities.” – Linda Di Felice, Columbus Concert Band
