We offer acrylic and oil painting classes for adults, ages 18 years and up. Classes focus on landscape studies and will explore principles such as tone, colour, form, texture, brush techniques, mixing, contrast and composition. Classes offer an intimate small group setting, which provides for one-on-one instruction, allowing students to fully explore their creative potential. This course is suitable for students of all levels and experience.

paintingSam Paonessa, OSA, AOCA Sam Paonessa was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. Awarded with a studio scholarship upon graduation, Sam was able to further develop his talents in commercial art. In 1983, Sam began his long and fulfilling career at Hallmark Canada, creating paintings and artwork for a variety of products. Throughout the years, Sam has travelled and painted plein air landscapes in North America and Italy. Sam shares his passion with others by conducting demonstrations and teaching oil painting workshops in the GTA. His pursuit of excellence is being rewarded, as he has gained the attention of fine art collectors, across North America. He is a founding member of Plein Air Canada and is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists.

Taking Sam’s class has been an amazing experience. His skill as an artist and teacher combined with his sense of humour enables all his students to relax and enjoy the process of discovering their inner artist. Even if you have never painted before, by the end of the session we are always pleasantly surprised with our paintings. I highly recommend this class.
