Led by professional artists Sam Paonessa, our 10-week art program is available for students over 18 years of age who wish to exercise their artistic abilities in an environment that is conducive to creativity. Our objective is to give our students a foundational understanding of the basic techniques and principles of visual art while encouraging them to express themselves freely. Small, intimate settings with one-on-one instruction allow each student to receive the guidance they need to grow as an artist. We also cater to those who wish to receive private lessons outside of our regular class hours, by special request only.
Sam Paonessa, OSA, AOCA Sam Paonessa was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. Taking Sam’s class has been an amazing experience. His skill as an artist and teacher combined with his sense of humour enables all his students to relax and enjoy the process of discovering their inner artist. Even if you have never painted before, by the end of the session we are always pleasantly surprised with our paintings. I highly recommend this class.
Children’s Art Classes
We are offering an eight-week workshop this spring that will provide students with an opportunity to engage their own artistic practice through hands-on art projects. This workshop will concentrate on developing artistic skills by exposing young artists to various areas, genres and techniques in the fine arts. Shading, drawing, still-life, landscapes, and the basic skills will be introduced first, followed by more practiced techniques utilizing water colour and acrylic painting.
