Learn Italian By Doing

This program invites you to learn or practice Italian in a relaxed and “simpatico” atmosphere outside of a classroom. Come and join us to learn or polish your Italian!

Italiano A Tavola (Dinner and Conversations)

Join facilitator Violante Binazzi as we enjoy a delicious prix fixe dinner at Ristorante Boccaccio while engaging in lively Italian conversation. These are drop-in classes and don’t require a full-term commitment. Prix fixe menu is included. The facilitator and language instruction are complimentary.

  • Beginners: Learn Italian for different practical situations, useful for travelling in Italy.

  • Intermediate: Learn new Italian vocabulary in a pleasant and informal atmosphere.

Instructor: Violante Binazzi is an Italian native speaker with a degree in Art History from the University of Florence, Italy. Violante is certificated as a teacher by the Italian Ministry of Education. Now in Toronto, she continues to share her love for the Italian language and her passion for the Italian culture.

Tarantella: Southern Italian Folk Music, Song & Dance Workshop
Sunday, October 6 at 2:00pm

Conducted in English and Italian, this workshop will take you into the world of folk music and dance from Southern Italy and the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. With a focus on the Tarantella and pizzica rhythms and its many variations, you will discover its rich traditions and customs. Facilitator, Marisa Buffone will perform and also teach traditional songs, combined with music and dancing.
